About Us

The National Education & Welfare Society (NEWS) is a dedicated non-governmental organization (NGO) established in the year 2010-11 with the vision of fostering sustainable development and social upliftment in India.

Registered under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act of 1958, NEWS has also been recognized under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Act, 2016.

Furthermore, the organization is officially registered with several national bodies, including the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Handicraft sector, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and NITI Aayog.

Since its inception, NEWS has been at the forefront of various social welfare initiatives, particularly focusing on education, economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and community-driven development.

Our interventions primarily cater to the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society, with a special emphasis on rural Rajasthan. Through a combination of participatory community-driven approaches and evidence-based policy advocacy, NEWS has been instrumental in transforming countless lives and driving holistic socio-economic progress.

our causes

Education & Child Development

We promote access to quality education through non-formal learning centers, bridge schools, and child rights advocacy programs, ensuring vulnerable children are reintegrated into mainstream education.

Women Empowerment & Leadership

We mobilize women into Self-Help Groups and provide leadership, legal awareness, and livelihood training to strengthen financial independence and decision-making power.

Skill Development & Economic Resilience

Through industry-aligned skill development and entrepreneurship training, we enhance employability and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for marginalized youth and women.

Marginalized & Tribal Community Development

We implement community-centric development programs that improve access to education, healthcare, land rights awareness, and essential services for marginalized and tribal populations.

Disability Inclusion & Rehabilitation

Recognized under the PWD Act, 2016, NEWS promotes inclusive education, assistive support services, and social integration programs for persons with disabilities.

Policy Advocacy & Community Awareness

We engage in policy advocacy, awareness campaigns, and participatory development initiatives to strengthen rights protection and ensure effective implementation of social welfare schemes.

Our Vision

To bridge the gap between information poverty and socio-economic backwardness by spearheading a skill revolution that ensures equitable access to education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for all.

We envision a society where every individual can lead a dignified, empowered, and fulfilling life.
